Dr. Masterson is pleased to announce the opening
of her new office in Garden City, Long Island, New York. See

previously been in private practice in Mineola, Long Island, NY, since
1987.

Dr. Masterson has advanced training in psychotherapy and
psychoanalysis from Adelphi
University's Gordon F. Derner Institute of Advanced Psychological
Studies Postdoctoral Program in Child and Adolescent Psychotherapy and
from the Postgraduate Center for Mental Health.
She has advanced training in
couples and family therapy from the Family Therapy Training Program of
the Long Island Institute of Psychoanalysis.
She has formal training in career
assessment, counseling,
and coaching from MentorCoach,
Corporate Coach U
International, The Human Resources Management Dept. and The
Leadership Center, Robert J. Milano Graduate School of Management and Urban Policy,
New School University, and
Myers-Briggs/Type Resources.
She has been a faculty
supervisor in the Geriatric Psychiatry Fellowship
Program, Albert Einstein College of Medicine and Montefiore Medical
Center, Division of Geriatric Psychiatry, and a supervisor for
psychotherapists in nursing homes. She has been trained in dementia
assessment and Elder Life Review.
Dr. Masterson
has also been trained in Disaster Mental Health Services by the American
Red Cross, and has treated numerous individuals affected by the World
Trade Center Disaster. In addition, she completed Level 1 Training in
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).
Her clinical experience is enhanced by working
at the Psychology Dept.,
Bronx Psychiatric Center, Bronx, NY since 1988 and being its
Director of its American Psychological Association approved Clinical Psychology Internship Training
Program.
